Tristan Lee (Board President and Treasurer) is a data scientist and journalist who uses open-source methods to investigate far-right networks. With a background in computational physics, he started investigating and exposing neo-Nazi communities as a hobby. Before co-founding Decoherence Media, Tristan worked as a data scientist for Bellingcat, developing software tools and researching the far-right. In 2025, he won the Al Neuharth Innovation in Investigative Journalism Award for his work with The Texas Observer on open-source extremist identifications.
Jennefer Harper (Board Vice President and Secretary) is a Pacific Northwest based researcher, writer, and educator, with a long background in the field of education and teaching. Before co-founding Decoherence Media, Jennefer worked as a legal assistant and private investigator. Most recently, her work focuses on far-right extremism in the U.S. and transnational networks. Jennefer approaches her research and reporting through an intersectional framework using open and closed sources. She has a special interest in accelerationism, youth radicalization, and government misconduct. In 2025, her work on a written investigation with The New Arab was shortlisted for an Amnesty Media Award.
Cooper Brinson (Board Director) is an attorney based in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada range. As a litigator, he specialized in civil rights and criminal defense, paying special attention to representing those who do their part to ensure that we never forget the mass atrocities of the 20th century. He has defended anonymous whistleblowers, held police accountable for their assaults against journalists and activists, and dedicated his career to serving the public interest. He is currently on a hiatus from litigation and focusing his energy on raising his kids and making a positive impact in his community.
